“The artwork symbolizes the ascension, from purgatory to Heaven. The bottom, made only in graphite, symbolizes the sorrows and pains of purgatory. The superior part, made with crayons, symbolizes the ascent of the soul. So as it rises, colors arise, until it reaches the total evolution, with a focus of intense light.” – Rosângela Vig.
