The Gaucho singer Alexandra Sanchez performs the show to launch its fourth CD "Rediscovering Gal". In joint work with pianist and record producer Sergio Justen, Alexandra presents a tribute to Gal Costa. The singer makes three appearances in Curitiba – from Wednesday to Friday (28 to 30), at 8:0 pm, in the theater of the Armory.
The show relies on repertoire that favors great composers like Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Chico Buarque, Marina Lima, among others. Also counts with the participation of musicians curitibanos Sérgio Justen (piano), Hélio Brandão (acoustic bass) and Fernando Rivabem (battery).
Alexandra Scotti began his musical career in Porto Alegre. Came to live in Curitiba in 1995, where did his first solo show. The following year he joined the dry Opera company, the theater Director Gerald Thomas. The company participated in the shows “Nowhere Man” and “The Kings of iê-iê-iê” traveling through several cities in Brazil. He remained in the group until 1997, When he decided to devote himself to music.
In 2000 released, Alarm label Records, from Porto Alegre, the CD “Love thrift store”, in which he played nine of his own compositions and included a retelling of “Passion”, success of double gaúcha Kleiton and Kledir.
In 2001 He moved to Rio de Janeiro and, After a few shows in town, participated in the project for new talent called “Noites Cariocas”, presented by Nelson Motta. That same year, he signed a contract with EMI for recording their second CD.
Acting as cultural producer, idealized and produced a festival for new singers named “Gloss Design – the new women's music”, which had its first edition in October 2006 in house concerts Melt, in Rio de Janeiro. In 2007 He appeared in several Brazilian cities and released her third album titled “Irresistible”, produced by Luciano Granja.
