Chapel Santa Maria features singing and piano recital with Colombian musicians

The lyrical singer Betty Garcés and pianist Alejandro Roca, of Colombia, We present next Tuesday (29), at 8:0 pm, in the chapel Santa Maria Cultural Space. With a recital which covers many styles and eras, the musicians show the prestige of Colombian music on the international scene. The presentation is a promotion of the Cultural Foundation of Curitiba, Embassy of Colombia and Curitiba Institute for art and culture. Admission is free.

Betty Garcés Bedoya has an international career as a lyric singer. He participated in masterclasses with renowned singers and currently studying in New York. This year will debut as a soprano in the Verdi Requiem with the Bogota Philharmonic Orchestra and in the lead role of Zarzuela Cecilia Valdes, at the Teatro Colon in Bogota, with the Colombia Symphony Orchestra. Their upcoming recitals will take place in Hannover, Santiago de Chile and Paris. With the Colombian pianist Alejandro Roca will also to Singapore, Viet Nam and Tokyo.

Alejandro Roca has developed a career as one of the most renowned pianists accompanists, vocal coach and Opera conductor of your generation in South America. With more than 10 years of experience in productions of Opera and zarzuela, your repertoire includes more than 40 operas. He worked with important conductors and singers Colombians as Martha Senn, Valeriano Lanchas, Juanita Lascarro and Betty Garcés. He is currently a pianist and Assistant Director at the Opera of Colombia, main vocal trainer and Director of opera workshop in Central University, as well as pianist and musical Assistant for Opera productions at the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santodomingo and Teatro Colon in Bogota.
