The Municipal Museum of art – Cultural Gate opens on Wednesday (6) the exhibition "through the eyes of a child: the MuMA ", result of a search in art education developed with the participation of professionals of the Cultural Foundation of Curitiba and the City Department of education. The show makes a contemporary works of the clipping that more dialogue with children.

The selected works are the fruit of a collective curation and seek to meet especially the children, from 4 years. But exposure can be appreciated also by the general public, you are invited to visit the exhibition with "eyes of a child". The aim was to think the small child in a current perspective on the understanding and their relationship with art, education, Museum and cultural mediation.

The project arose from a doctoral research conducted by Solange Gabre. The researcher presented the proposal that was welcomed by professionals in the field. A series of meetings were held to discuss the topic, involving the coordination of educational and Cultural Foundation's holdings and teachers of early childhood education of municipal education network.

Solange Gabre is a teacher trainer at the Department of early childhood education of the Municipal Secretary of education of Curitiba and a doctorate in education at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, in the line of Art Research, Language and Curriculum. "Understanding the child as audience of Museum is a fairly contemporary vision, that demand understanding of relationships that are established, at the present time, between education, child, Museum and art, and especially the role of adults involved in the process of formal and non-formal education ", says researcher.

Participated in the project Alessandra Ortiz and Eliane Novak (teachers of early childhood education), Eva Tozato (teacher trainer of Municipal Education), Gisele Reway (pedagogue), Claudia Arioli, Cristina Herrera, Josiane Cheap and Luciano José Antunes (team of the Municipal Museum of art), Anooshe Cassiana Silva, Gabriele Pillati, Dyessica Filippus, Michel Voitilak and Maria Santiago (Educational Action Coordination team of the FCC).
