This Saturday (10), the artist carioca Marcos Duprat launches the exhibition catalog "Memories On Paper”, on Mahmoud's room do Prado Valladares, in the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, in Rio de Janeiro. The event will count with cocktail and commented visit of the shows, the 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

The exhibition "Memories on paper", which is playing until the day 2 July, is a panorama of the drawings of Duprat, in more than four decades, and brings together 38 works on paper. The images illustrate the transformations in your language and imagery in your focus “puzzle of reality visible “.

The works, dated 1977 to 2017, discuss the theme of the outside world (landscapes and figures in water) and the inner world (still lifes, portraits, pictures and reflections in intimate spaces). The artist uses various media, as color pencil, crayon, oily and dry pastel, watercolor and oil on different roles: Canson, Schoeller, Fabriano, vegetable pulp and handmade Japanese papers and Brazilians. Light is the leading element and articulation of these images.

For Duprat, the shows mark the important moments in your artistic background and personal: “Some of these images are for me associated with my affective memory and other the memories and records of several countries where I lived, in particular the ten years I've been in Asia. It's a happy moment for me to be able to share with the public in my city these records”, says the artist. Since 2008, Duprat has his studio in Rio de Janeiro. Your personal collection has a large number of paintings, drawings, photographs and sculptures.
