Photography Alliance Française Contest Winners will be Awarded Today

The photo contest winners Prix Photo Web Alliance Française 2014 will be awarded on Wednesday, 26, during the vernissage of the exhibition of the photos of the issue of winners 2013
The first place chosen by the official jury was Brunno Covello, with the beautiful series Street Carnival Onodi, and will receive $ 10 thousand. Francisco Gustavo Moura took second place with Feast of Our Lady. Rosary - PB, and will win the prize of R $ 5 thousand. Have Daniel Caron of God was chosen by the jury, with Carnivals of Yesterdays, will win a round-trip ticket to Paris
The Alliance Française Gallery in Botafogo opens Wednesday, day 26, at 19h, the exposure of the Prix Photo Web winners 2013. O fotógrafo Benoit Fournier, first place, with Earth series water; the runner-up by the official jury Lucas Bridges, with Sierra Santa Catarina series; and Fernanda de Oliveira Costa, winner of the popular vote category with the theme Une promenade dans la campagne. The cultural contest is sponsored by the General Delegation of the Alliance Française of Brazil sponsored by EDF Norte Fluminense, Total E&P of Brazil and Air France. The exhibition can be visited free of charge until February.
During the exhibition's vernissage 26 November, the awards will be presented the issue of winners 2014 do concurso Price Web Photo. This year's theme, “The Feast Day in Brazil or France”, search priority to look at the essence of these two countries in addition to postcards. “Feast Day” refers to all kinds of parties: Popular, institutional etc.. Participants – Brazilian and French residents in Brazil – sent 10 images with the theme “Feast Day in Brazil” or “Feast Day in France”.
Among the personalities that make up the official jury is the current president of Cultural Producers Network of Photography in Brazil, Eugenio Savio, Photographer published in various publishers, and who made important international coverage as four World Cups and China's Olympics; Walter company name, winner of the Esso Journalism Prize to the report “100 days in the Amazon Nobody” and nine awards Nikon; e Jean Paul Lefevre, who served in several countries working in cultural services of the French Embassies and Consulates, organized a number of events, including in the field of photography. Jean-Paul Lefèvre closely followed the creation of photo Rio Festival, along with Milton Guran and Jean-Luc Monterosso, Diretor da European House of Photography (MEP) in Paris. The photographer and documentary filmmaker Emmanuelle Bernard, and the writer, translator, photographer and curator Pedro Vasquez complete the panel of judges.
The show features photographs of the Prix Photo Web winners 2013. The public will have a chance to meet the beautiful images of the first three tender. The winner of the editing 2013, o fotógrafo Benoit Fournier, with Earth series water; the runner-up by the official jury Lucas Bridges, with Sierra Santa Catarina series; and Fernanda de Oliveira Costa, winner of the popular vote category with the theme Une promenade dans la campagne (A walk in the countryside). Are 34 stunning images on the critical and contemporary look of the Franco-Brazilian culture through the lens of these photographers.
Ground water is a photo essay in progress, from year 2010, in various regions of Brazil; water-century power 21. The visual story does not follow a geographic script, but it is ordered sensory memories via fluid texture. The images of the award-winning Sierra Santa Catarina test convey the rural and mountainous reality of Santa Catarina, natural environment or from, marked by canyons, coxilhas, Araucaria forest to economic activities that sustain the region. The bucolic A walk in the country emerged from a series of images obtained in a visit that the photographer did the Versailles Palace in 2013.
The PRIX PHOTO WEB ALLIANCE FRENCH is a photo contest organized by the Alliance Française in Brazil, EDF North Fluminense, Total E&P of Brazil and Air France. Your goal is to encourage artistic expression through photography, recording, through images, critical and contemporary look of the Franco-Brazilian culture, and promote cultural exchange between Brazil and France. Feast Day in France and Brazil is the theme of this fifth edition, that favors look at the essence of these two countries in addition to postcards.
