Wonderful CityOnthe scope of the celebrations of 450 years of the city of Rio de Janeiro and of the 130 years of the French Alliance in Brazil, the Alliance Française of Rio de Janeiro offers, on Thursday, 13 August, às 19h30, a chat with the French photographer Jean-François Rauzier about his artistic career, the hiperfotos and the river. This chat will be held in French, no translation.

The work of Jean Francois Rauzier converses with Cubism, the mosaic, the surrealism, the Baroque and the two-dimensional sculpture. This result is possible thanks to the research that the photographer develops with this novel technique of hiperfotografia since 2002.

Hyper AtlantidUnconventional creator of a postmodern dream world, Jean-François Rauzier wonders about the future of our heritage. The artist offers a reflection on our perception of the world and about the major themes of our society: the culture, Science, the progress, the ecology, the utopia, freedom etc.. Recognized for his imaginary architectures and for its numerous cultural and popular references, He questions the city of the future, as well as our place in the modern world, through different construction standards.

To be produced, the hiperfotografias of Rauzier go through a long and complex process. Manipulated in computer, some of them, including, reach a volume that may suggest a two-dimensional sculpture.
