The British artist Christopher Page, will open in Saturday, day 9 of december, MAM Rio, curated by Fernando Cocchiarale, the installation "Blind Gallery". The production is of Inclusartiz Institute, with the support of British Council and Lamb Arts. This is the first solo exhibition of the artist in the Museum. On opening day, to 14 hours, There will be a meeting open to the public between the performer and Fernando Cocchiarale.
The installation “Blind Gallery” was made made specifically for the space of MAM Rio. Consists of a single work that evokes a ghostly display their representations emptied. Page turned the huge mobile walls of the Museum in a monumental architecture whose surfaces are adorned with a continuum of large-scale paintings. The final effect is a disorienting environment, reminiscent of a gallery in absentia; missing images.
On Tuesday, day 12 December and Wednesday, day 13, of 14 to 17 hours, Page will hold a workshop on School of Visual Arts of Parque Lage. Yet on the day 13, to 19 hours, the artist will make a presentation of your work in The school library. All these activities are open to the public.
