A Museum of sacred art promotes a free course on the topic “Initiation with the expertise of silverware in Brazil”, with Professor. Dr. Gonçalo de Vasconcelos e Sousa.
Summary and objectives:
It is intended to analyse together the silverware from the 18th to 20TH CENTURIES, Portuguese and brazilian, from the rich collection of pieces of religious art museum of São Paulo, in its formal and technical dimension. In theory-practice, There will be contact with the stylistic and technical dimension, using images of objects, the enlightening videos and the signs to distinguish producer centers, through the analysis of the punches.
