"This movie allowed me to meet the woman behind the passista. The Cp symbolizes the struggle of many Brazilian women”, says the filmmaker Clara Peltier about his short documentary bird's Skin, that will debut at the Festival do Rio, on 9 October, with special session invited the Cinépolis Lagoon, at 18h. The work, that marks the second Director's participation in the, competes in shows Première Brazil: short documentary competition- that brings to the scene the multiplicity of Brazilian recent audiovisual production-, with views to the public in Cine Odeon (10/10) and in Kinoplex São Luiz (11/10).

The short tells the story of the passista J. Rock Carnival, He was born on the outskirts of Rio and the 12 years met motherhood, and portrays how samba was decisive for the turn in its history. Through him, at the age of 18 years, could she start her career and travel the world performing in tours for several sites, from the periphery to the South, of community courts to the high class weddings.

As a result, J. managed to improve his family's financial condition. Today she is proud to be able to provide a different target to daughter Jennifer, studying in a private school. With your fantasy of passista, she visits two different worlds: the glamour of the profession and the simplicity of real life.

Graduated in journalism and film at PUC-Rio, Clara Peltier specializes in Screenwriting and directing at New York University. Was screenwriter of documentaries "sports River" (2008), "Francisco Brennand" (2012), winner of the best documentary award at the film festival of Sao Paulo, and "territory of Play" (2015). He wrote and directed the short fiction "Isa of the winds" (2008) and "Free" (2013), winner of the Special Jury Prize in the Femina and displayed in more than 10 countries in various international festivals, as Latin American Cinema Festival of Huelva, Miami International Film Festival, Berlin International Short Film Festival, Toronto International Short Film Festival, among others. His new short-film, the documentary "bird Skin" (2015), carried out with the support of Movie River, was selected for the Brazil Festival Premiere of the river 2015. Clara Peltier is a founding partner of eternal Movies, a film production company which aims to develop female-themed movies.
