Exhibition “Moored” – Damiana Suriani

On 23 November, visual artist Damiana Suriani presents the exhibition "Tied", in São Paulo – that can be visited until day 14 of december, at the Marcelo Neves Art Gallery space – and portrays stories, feelings and situations experienced during the pandemic.

The show brings together works among drawings, collages and sculptures that explore the observation of nature and the relationships of people in this recent period of isolation during the pandemic.

Damiana returns to the exhibitions with pieces that tell new stories resulting from the feelings that inspired her during her social isolation.

In this new scenario, new works were created in aluminum and resin and will be part of "Moored". Damiana also started working with paper and collages: “I spent a large part of the pandemic in contact with nature and this sharpened my inspiration, motivated me to create and explore new materials”, tells the artist.

Born in Argentina and settled in Brazil since 1995, Damiana has a degree in Interior Design and has studied sculpture at MuBE (Brazilian Museum of Sculpture and Ecology) and at FAAP (Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado), in São Paulo. Since 2011, participates with his acrylic resin sculptures, bronze and aluminum, in several solo and group exhibitions.
