A broad overview of the work developed by ceramists from all over Brazil is being presented by the Online Ceramic Art Festival through the main internet platforms - YouTube, Instagram and Facebook.

Performed by Oswaldo Goeldi Cultural Artistic Association, with incentive through the Proac Expresso Lab Edital 40/ 2020, of the Government of the State of São Paulo, d Online Ceramic Art Festival with the participation of artists and artisans from all over the country [relation in the box beside].
But this is not a “virtual exhibition” of works by these artists and artisans, the project goes far beyond. In a dynamic process, until the end of March, every five days, d Online Ceramic Art Festival will gradually make videos available on platforms where artists tell their story, talk about the techniques they use and show some of their work.
The project team traveled and continues to travel to the four corners of Brazil, to interview all artists and artisans in their workplaces and produce the videos. There will be ten videos. The first of these, with the ceramist Patrícia Henriques, was released on the last day 10 February. The next, to be released in 15 February, and with Norma Grinberg. The following is, in 20 February, with Eduardo leisan.
In parallel, no Instagram e no Facebook will be posted stories, recording backstage of the team's passage in each of the cities. Lives will also be held, live broadcasts with artists and artisans in interviews complementing and enriching the materials recorded in the videos.

Participation of other artists - “Our goal with the project is not only to highlight the art of each of the chosen potters. We want to contribute to rescue the importance and beauty of Ceramic Art as a traditional expression of regional art and culture ”, says Lani Goeldi, curator of Online Ceramic Art Festival.
Lani Goeldi adds that Oswaldo Goeldi Cultural Artistic Association will acquire a work by each of the participating artists and artisans. And, on a date not yet defined, will hold an exhibition - physics, and not virtual - from this collection at the headquarters of the Association, in Taubaté.
According to her, the actions developed by the project will spread and preserve the clay modeling tradition and lead the participating public to understand and practice the clay modeling procedures. In addition, it is also expected that the project will also arouse interest in “ordinary people” in the practice of art in clay.
In this sense, in addition to recording the work of ten important Brazilian artists and artisans, Online Ceramic Art Festival will also count on the participation of amateur and professional artists from all over the country. An online exhibition will be held, with digital photographs of ceramic pieces sent by artists.

CIRO CROELHAS
Craftsman in front of the Spanish Pottery, located in the Icoaraci district, in Belem, specialized in the manufacture of utilitarian ceramic parts for more than a century.
EDUARDO LEISAN
One of Taubaté's leading figure artists, SP, has been working with clay for almost fifty years. He also works in the Paraíba Valley as an art teacher.

Recognized artist from Taiobeiras, in the Jequitinhonha Valley, MG. In his pieces he portrays the simple and charming daily life of the people of northern Minas Gerais.
MALI FERNÁNDEZ and WAGNER PICTURE
With atelier in Cunha, SP, the couple is engaged in raku, ceramic technique from Japan, always linked to the tea ceremony.
MEGUMI YUASA
Japanese-Brazilian artist based in São Paulo, SP, is one of the biggest names in ceramics in Brazil. There are works in the collections of museums, private galleries and collections in Brazil and abroad.
NEIDE OF JESUS
At the age of 67 years, the artisan is one of the leaders of the quilombola community of Itamatatiua, in Alcântara, MA, traditional pottery activity pole for decades.
GRINBERG STANDARD
Artist based in São Paulo, SP, is a prominent name in ceramic work in the country. He is a member of the International Ceramics Academy, Switzerland-based entity.
PATRÍCIA HENRIQUES
From São Paulo, based in São Paulo, SP, in her ceramic studio the artist is dedicated to the production of utilitarian pieces and sculptural objects.
RODI NUÑEZ
Porto Alegre artist, RS. Ceramist, designer and researcher, is professor of Ceramics at the UFRGS Institute of Arts.
ROSÂNGELA DOS SANTOS
One of the most outstanding artisans in Goiás Velho, GO, where the production of clay pots is a centuries-old tradition, the craft being passed down from mother to daughter through generations.
