TORIBA MUSICAL HAS THE SPECIAL ATTRACTION OF THE WEEK TO SOPRANO FRANCIELLE DE BARROS
Finished or Festival Toriba Musical, that between 23 September and 28 November had at Hotel Toriba thirty live musical performances with an audience presence - the first in Brazil after the coronavirus pandemic began -, the program Toriba Musical back to your normal schedule.
The special attraction of the week is the soprano Francielle de Barros. On Saturday, 5 December, to 19 hours, accompanied at the piano by Antonio Luiz Barker, the singer plays a varied program, with classic songs, musical themes and opera arias. Among the highlights, “Sentimental melody”, by Villa-Lobos, “I feel pretty”, de Bernstein, do musical West Side Story, and “Summertime”, de Gershwin, da ópera Porgy and Bess. And still, marking the beginning of the Christmas period, a potpourri with classics from the Christmas repertoire: “O Holy Night”, “White Christmas” and “Happy night”.
In Friday, 27 Nov, two moments of jazz and pop music with the singer Sarah Ávila, with Antonio Luiz Barker at the piano - at 19 hours, at Fireplace Room, and at 8:30 pm on Toribinha Bar & Fondue, dentro and Friday Jazz. The repertoire includes songs like “Feeling Good”, from Nina Simone's repertoire, and “One and Only”, Adele's success.
Toriba, the most musical hotel - The program Toriba Musical has musical performances in all 52 weeks of the year - what makes Toriba the most musical hotel in Brazil. Under artistic direction of the pianist Antonio Luiz Barker, the program always has a special recital on Saturdays, most of them lyrical music. Always on Fireplace Room, the musical heart of the hotel, that has the center, prominently, magnificent Steinway piano from 1925.

On Fridays, from the 8:30 pm, happens at Toribinha Bar & Fondue a Friday Jazz. Always with Antonio Luiz Barker at the piano, sometimes also with the participation of invited musicians.
In addition, on mondays and wednesdays Antonio Luiz Barker performs at the piano in solo recitals, with repertoire covering from classics to popular music, including responding to requests from the public present.
