Globe leads to fans of blues free presentations in Copacabana

Special Edition of the sound of the city takes place between 28 October and November 1st

Copacabana will be packed by the blues from 28 October and November 1st for the Special Edition of the sound of the city-instrumental project of the Globe that give visibility to artists who make the music of the river and the Grand River. The network will bring to the public free shows of "Flávio Guimarães", "Ari Frello", "Dudu King", "Laranjeletric", "Mauricio Sahady" on Globe kiosk, at 19h, in the fourth, Thursday and Friday; and to 5:00 pm, on Saturday and Sunday.

The Special Edition of the sound of the city begins the day 28 October, at 19h, with Flávio Guimarães. In the 80 -next to the growth of the blues in Brazil-, the artist took part in the major festivals in the country, from Free Jazz to Rock in Rio, performing opening shows for B. B. King and Robert Cray and playing with icons such as Buddy Guy, Taj Mahal, Sugar Blue and Charlie Musselwhite. The next day, 29 October, ARI Frello will present songs from the albums "where I am" and "A simple man until the end" and the newly released "on the way". Considered one of the new talents of the blues, the artist is divided between Brazil and Argentina presentations and in his music education project on the web.

On 30 October, Friday, It will be the turn of "Dudu King" show their repertoire in the Kiosk of the Globe. In a mixture of guitar and keyboard tones, the artist plays classics of Tom Jobim, Santana, Eric Clapton, Muddy Waters, Freedie King, B. B. King, Grant Green and Miles Davis. The "Laranjeletric" will be in space in the day 31 October, Saturday, às 17h, to cheer up the audience with a sound that contemplates the blues, but that also travels by the rhythms of funk and soul. Formed in 2010, the carioca band account with Marcos Lacerda (voice and guitar), Marcus Kenyatta (guitar and vocals), Mariam Helbour (drums and vocals) and Pedro León (low).

On the road from 1989, Mauritius Sahady prepares the final show of the project happens on the 1st of November. The artist-formerly the Atlantic Blues, one of the pioneering bands of the blues – is guaranteed in various festivals for Brazil with a repertoire that brings together influences from Albert King, Otis Rush, B. B. King, Little Walter, Freddie King, Magic Sam, among other masters.

About the sound of the city:

The museum was created in 2014, the sound of the city, Globe project that reveals musical initiatives from various regions of the river-promoted performances at the Globe kiosk (Copacabana), Washington square gazebo Luis (Sepetiba), Gazebo of Gamboa (Gamboa), Campo de São Bento (Niterói), Paquetá and Claudio de Souza square Gazebo (Ricardo de Albuquerque). Have been through the project the musicians Bruce Wayne and Alison, saxophonist Ronaldo Martins, the harmonica player Michael Arce, the violinist Luis Otávio Abreu, the pianist Glaucio Cristelo and free music bands, Raft, Sun Brunettes, El Samba Jazz and Miraculous Barca Velha, In addition to the duo Zé Canuto and Dino Rangel.

The second season, that started in may 2015, already featured the sound of Peace, the Beach Combers, the Astro Venga, the Kosmo Urban Collective, and The Group 3 Friends of the Northeast, in the Kiosk of the Globe and in train stations.
