Enrollments are open for 5º TOMIE OHTAKE DESIGN AWARD, aimed at college students(the) and newly graduated professionals(the) from all areas.

The initiative has established itself as the main Brazilian mapping award in the area of ​​design, welcoming multiple languages, given its transdisciplinarity, and not restricted to categories, since it contemplates projects of different natures.

The prize, which proposes a new theme in each edition to instigate innovative solutions that respond to current challenges in the socioeconomic scenario, political and cultural, promotes, This time, the conception of "Coviver”.

The proposal does not intend to establish absolutely new relationships. It is, before, from guiding design to discussing habitability on Earth, as well as what are our possibilities of action.

Five bidders will be selected(the) and will win the amount of R$ 6.000,00 each to carry out the prototype of their project that will be exhibited at Instituto Tomie Ohtake, on display to be held in May 2023.

With these assumptions, the award seeks to emphasize that currently the most forceful design proposals happen in dialogue with different specialties, instigating innovative solutions that can respond to contemporary issues that discuss our social scenario, political, urban, housing, in addition to new technological demands, new equipment, publications and digital media.

In the last four editions, d TOMIE OHTAKE DESIGN AWARD already awarded 60 projects among approx. 700 registered, from 25 Brazilian states and the Federal District. Were realized 700 meetings with teachers and students(the) in more than 50 universities across the country and more than 20 educational actions in São Paulo and other states, between symposia, seminars, courses, workshops, conversations, lectures and lives.

You can subscribe to 5º TOMIE OHTAKE DESIGN AWARD, undergraduate students with current enrollment in a technical and/or higher level course in any area, including, but not limited to graduation in design, recognized or authorized by the MEC.
