The concert will be based on the workA German Requiem, Op. 45 (piano version a 4 hands) (80’)”, by the German composer Johannes Brahms.
Naomi Munakata, who died in 2020, was one of the greatest and most important conductors of Brazilian choral music, raising the bar for choir music in São Paulo, in addition to having been very present as an educator, because he believed in education through the choral field.
In your professional trajectory, stood out as principal conductor of the Coral Paulistano, besides having been for two decades, conductor of the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra Choir, director and teacher of the Municipal School of Music of São Paulo and artistic director and conductor of the Coral Jovem do Estado.

On the same day, às 17h, it's Praça das Artes' turn to host the concert Beethoven by himself, presented by the Camerata of the Experimental Repertoire Orchestra. The concert will have the presence of pianist Lucas Gonçalves and Thiago Tavares in the regency.
Lucas Gonçalves graduated from the Technical School of Music and Dance “Ivanildo Rebouças da Silva” and won first place in the main piano competitions in the country throughout his professional career.. In addition to being a pianist of the Experimental Repertoire Orchestra of the Municipal Theater of São Paulo, He also works as a piano teacher at the Suzuki Center for Music Education and the Fukuda Institute.
Thiago Tavares reassumed the role of assistant conductor of the Experimental Repertoire Orchestra in 2017, gaining prominence in several symphonic concerts, scenic and didactic that he carried out with the artistic body, like the opera debut with The Rake's Progress, by Igor Stravinsky, alternating with Jamil Maluf, in 2013.
In this weekend's concert, the Coriolanus overture, on﹒62 (8’), d Piano Concerto n.6, on﹒61 in D major (42’), transcribed by the composer of the Violin Concerto.
