Curitiba launches project that creates spaces for traveling circuses

The Municipality of Curitiba launches next Thursday (11/10), at 14:30 in Barigui Park, a unique program in the country. The city will rely on the "Circus Square", project to provide free appropriate public spaces to receive itinerant circus companies, providing comfort and safety for the public and artists.

"The Circus Square, Curitiba Cultural Foundation program, It was created to allow the circus troupes of Paraná and Brazil the presentation in parks and town squares, in exchange for matinees and soirees with free performances for students of the Municipal Education Network. The Program has two-way: help the circus to spread their art and brings joy and artistic information to curitibinhas ", said the mayor Rafael Greca.

Over 800 students from public schools in all regions participating in the launch in Circus Zanchettini, not mounted park. In addition to signing the Decree which regulates Law, the mayor also launches the accreditation notice of companies that are interested in using the spaces.

This is another attractive to stimulate the creative economy and increase the supply of employment and income generation in the city ", highlighted Ana Cristina de Castro, President of the Cultural Foundation.


Under the responsibility of the Curitiba Cultural Foundation, the programming of spaces will be defined by the Public Notice Calling for Accreditation Circuses. The selection will be made by a committee appointed specifically to evaluate the proposals.
