Alliance Française receives French animation film festival with free entry

Programação do Animation Cinema Festival 2015 will be held from 26 to 30 October, Botafogo

The Alliance Française of Rio de Janeiro, in partnership with the Cinematheque of the French Embassy presents, from 26 to 30 October, to Fête du Cinéma d'animation 2015, a cycle of long and short French animated films, in the Auditorium of the French Alliance Botafogo, with free entry. All sessions will be held at 5:30 pm and all films have subtitles in Portuguese.

Celebrated on the day 28 October, International Animation Day refers to the first screening of an animated film in public, when French professor Émile Reynaud designed “Pauvre Pierrot”, no Grévin Museum in Paris, in the year 1892. In The River, the festival features the presentation of French feature films and short films such as “Une Petite Histoire De L’image Animee” (2006), by Joris Clerté; “Skin Color : Honey" (2011), de Jung Sik-jun, Laurent Boileau; “Bottle Ass” (2010), by Jean-Claude Rozec; “The King and the Bird” (1979), by Paul Grimault and others.

Raise awareness among the public and the media, In addition to supporting French animation film production, they are one of the objectives of the Fête du Cinéma d’Animation..
