Brethren of the coast makes prerelease show album "Riot"
The Curitiba group Confraria da Costa performs this Friday (28), at 8:30 pm, in the theater of the Armory, the pre-release disk show "Mutiny". The group produces a sound that is far from any usual musical experience..
Mixing jazz and other rhythms scholars, the band explores rock routes, adding elements of folkloric styles and rhythms to a poetic permeated with quotes about life at sea. The group includes musicians Ivan (voice, flute and guitar), Jan (violin), Marcelo (guitar and mandolin), Pantaleoni (bass and acoustic bass), Abdul (drums and voice) and Andrew (percussion).
