Founded in the decade of 1930 in the middle of nowhere and “so close to prosperity”, quote from the poet Carlos Drummond de Andrade, the village, rich in the art of pottery and domestic weaving, came to be known from the Feira do Troca, idealized by educator Laís Aderne in the years 70. “The fair was the starting point for the projection of Olhos d’Água as a village rich in handicrafts in the state of Goiás”, says Bastos, master in weaving and technical coordinator of “Tecendo o Amanhã””.

The show “Weaving Tomorrow” stems from the weaving course taught by experienced local artisans and guests, under the coordination of Beto Bastos, headquartered in NACO.
