The 2nd São Paulo Literary Festival aims to surpass the first edition
After the news of the cancellation of the São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro Biennials by COVID-19, the publishing market needed to reinvent itself. With annuity proposal, the Editorial Group Coherence bothered to organize the FLISP (Literary Festival of São Paulo), which had its first edition held in the second half of 2020. This year, the event will take place in the days 07 and 08 August, from 10 am to 7 pm at Associação Osaka Naniwa-Kai, in the Vila Mariana region of São Paulo.
last year's event, with ten publishers present, lasted about 11 hours and counted 5.500 books sold, with rotation of 2,5 thousand visitors among readers, publishers and authors. held at the same location, FLISP had several book releases, autograph sessions, fraternization between authors and ten stands for small publishers, medium and large.
This time, to FLISP 2021 will provide cleaning and security aids, in addition to the team against COVID-19, that will guarantee the sanitary norms of social distancing and hygiene. The proposal is to take several special participations and cultural programming. This year's theme is "Pieces of History" and brings a debate about the evolutions within the Brazilian publishing market, which has been going through a severe crisis for years.
