Initiative to promote DO – Background to the culture of the Federal District, occupies to Casa de Cultura do Guará with the exhibition

Collective exhibition values women's production in the visual arts
As a result of artistic workshops held in February, the project Caliandras Urbanas invites the community to honor the production of 20 participants in cultural event to happen this saturday, day 2 April, at Casa de Cultura do Guará. The date also marks the delivery of artistic painting, covering the entire façade of the cultural space.
idealized, coordinated and led by women, Caliandras Urbanas emerged with the aim of promoting and unifying the female presence in the art of DF. For both, three training workshops for new artists were held, being urban photography, with Gabriela Mutti; Xilo & Stencil, with Juliana Borgê; and Grafitti, with Didi Colado.
For the opening of the exhibition, which will be on display until the day 21 April, Juliana Borgê, creator of the project, proposed carrying out a series of activities. Lectures and debate will discuss the historicity and current scene of female urban art in DF. DJ and MC's will lead the event with affirmative music and rhymes, and the occasion will also feature a dance performance and video mapping.
Lectures will be given by Dra. Lourdes Theodore and teacher. Janaina André, two women who work in the urban arts of the DF. The panel will be attended by Patricia Del Rey, from the Transverse Collective, Sabrina Falcão and Janaina André, from the Gentle Map. The music will come out of the pick-ups of the DJ Ketlen and the powerful rhymes of the MC's Julia Nara, Debrete, Lara Lis and Aqualtune. The dance performance will be Lisiane Queiroz and Lucas Rafael will stamp external walls with video mapping.

The project aims, including, reflect on the appropriation of urban environments and the occupation of public cultural facilities in the Federal District, resignifying the cultural perspective of the territory and contributing to the well-being of all. In this sense, the event also marks the inauguration of a creative and artistic intervention on the facade of the Casa de Cultura do Guará.
