Already in 1967, at fourteen, won first prize in the drawing contest organized by the AFE club in Montevideo.

In 2004 got the second prize in the drawing and painting contest organized by RAINCOOP.

as hobbies, perhaps the most important because it is also related to art, is the taste for woodworking – TALHA, TREATMENT, PYROGRAPHY AND SCULPTURE by sanding and polishing method.

In my artistic training with regard to painting, I was influenced by several teachers, from whom I took advice and teachings to later have my own identity.

That's why in my paintings you can identify the foliage of a tree as Bob Roos might have painted it., or a Jorge Damiani-style beach ranch from whom I borrowed his techniques and used my sensibility to obtain custom paintings.

When he woke up his desire to be an artist?

My vocation for art, as I explained earlier, comes from childhood, but wanting to dedicate myself fully to painting emerged from the year 2004, which led me to do my first individual exhibition in 2007 (SEQUENCES AND CONSEQUENCES) IN THE CITY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF THE COAST OF CANELONES – where I lived for over fifty years.

Painting for me is the art form that can best define man. Someone once said: man is all the more man the more receptive to beauty.

What kind of art do you like best?

I am more than anything LANDSCAPE but many times I let my feelings fly in abstractions that identify me with the situations experienced.

In addition, most of my landscapes are creations, based on memories kept as childhood treasures, with fanciful colors that contrast with nature.

How he developed his style (techniques)?

I tend to work with mixed techniques.

Cite if you had artistic influences in your works and which artists?

The influences that I can have on my paintings are not of style, but of varied techniques learned from different references.

Do you have a family member or acquaintance who is an artist?

Family: ALEJANDRO PEREZ NOYA MARAGATO painter who currently resides in CHILE.

And several acquaintances with whom we share everything from pleasant conversations to technical opinions (painter WALTER FREDA, sculptor ENRIQUE SCHIAFARINO).

Living from art is possible?

Though it's hard at first, I know how to get, it takes patience to reach the right clientele. The art buyer is a very special being., he buys for sensitivity.

Ever thought about not acting with more art? can comment why?

I think that as long as I have the right senses and physical conditions, I will continue painting.

What skills are needed today for the artist?

Multiple skills and knowledge added to sensitivity and good taste, could be the beginning of a plastic artist, knowledge of materials, colors, drawing, perspective, aesthetic anatomy, etc, etc. An almost endless list could be made..

What do you feel when you create or appreciate a work of art?

A creation is the reflection of the artist's SOUL, in the colors we can see your state of mind, we can deduce joys and sorrows, and once the work is finished, the NARCISSUS we carry within us emerges, acquiring a feeling of paternity of the work.

But when appreciating another artist's work, before analyzing your applied techniques, I try to understand what the colleague felt and wanted to convey in his work.

Your inspirations to create a work of art?

There can be multiple reasons for inspiration, as well as multiple and diverse works. Personally, I am nurtured by nature, the moon is a regular protagonist. in my creations, pouring out that light which is not hers but is given by the sun, among the branches of a leafy forest that I fall in love with.

Which art has impressed you the most so far?

I think if another type of art impressed me more, would be what i would be doing.

You must always be creating or creating only at certain times?

In General, I'm always active, I make my creations in drafts and sketches, before taking them to the screen, I am in almost continuous activity.

The product of your work is unique or has a close or distant relationship to your previous work?

Works can often be sequels, it all depends on the inspiration.

What are the challenges of art / artist in the current scenario?

The challenges are multiple, the main thing is that every day we try to be better than the day before and the most worrying challenge for me is that robotics does not take away from human beings the ability to create.

Social networks have helped you to spread your work?

Of course, social networks help in the dissemination and knowledge of the works.

How plastic arts can contribute to education and culture?

I understand that all arts are culture and there is no culture without education.

How you analyze the qualities of a work of art?

The main thing for me is to interpret the message that the artist wanted to convey after applying the techniques., the color treatment, etc.., perspectives, aesthetic senses, etc.

What are the criteria for stipulating the value of a work of art?

The value of the work is given by the purchaser of the art.

Talk about your projects today ...

The next project is to prepare a thematic exhibition of iconic places in the city where I live.

What's your advice for those just starting out?

Who starts in art is because he has a special sensitivity, my humble advice is to keep going, don't be put off by negative reviews, try to be better every day and put your soul into every job you start.

If you want to leave a message ...

Don't forget that when we are creating, we are ourselves who are inside it.

About your exhibitions, have any comments regarding, feelings…

Exhibitions are renewed expectations, are injections to move on.

Could you comment on some artistic curiosity?

as anecdote, in the last solo exhibition, a person who was looking at one of my creations, when I approached her, told me with certainty... “When I was a child I stayed in that house and until now I thought that image was exclusively mine.”

How would you define your art in one line?

Expressing my feelings through the brush.
