The process

Exploring theatrical language with stage machinery, Luciano Wieser has been researching Teatro Máquina for 32 years, ahead of Grupo De Pernas pro Ar, one of the most awarded groups in the state, nationally recognized. In this new assembly, set in a living room with inventions, the story of a man with few memories is told, who invents something unusual for his old age, curious dinner machines, that by being animated by him create loving images and improbable everyday situations. Thus, maintains a routine that also brings something more to your life. It is through this character, who no longer remembers the situations lived, that the narrative is built.

Luciano Wieser explains that the dramaturgy was elaborated during the process of research and construction of the machines, from an intimate dialogue between him and the object. – I let myself be carried away by the materials found. There is nothing predetermined; is the material that chooses me. He has memory. He has passed and may have a future, reflects. It is from this man-machine dialogue, that dramaturgy arises, so that is the process that helps to tell the story. – When I start building the show, everything is already underway. In this new format, it is necessary to consider the presence of a mediating look, of the one who captures the dinner. – The camera, when moving within the scene, takes on the viewer's gaze and tries to bring him into the show, analyzes the director.

Understanding how Luciano Wieser's relationship with the universe of machines is processed is essential to understand what moves this creator, that since childhood is fascinated by the movement. – I was one of those children who assembled and disassembled the objects to see what they contained or how they worked., reports. In this sense, visit to virtual exhibition of The Last Invention is a way of getting to know the construction processes of machine-characters. On 15 March at 19h, a live-exhibition of the show's stage machines takes place, entitled to a guided tour, led by Wieser. Transmission will be via the group's platform (Check the Service).
