One of the most awarded theatrical companies from Rio Grande do Sul performs virtual circulation in nine cities in RS, promoting exchange with local groups and dialogue with the public
Long before the covid-19 pandemic settled on the planet, imposing restrictions on social interaction, the actor, director, creator and master of machinery at Grupo de Pernas Pro Ar, Luciano Wieser, had already been conducting research with the audiovisual, as a possibility of language, added to your theatrical making, to which has been dedicated for 38 years. Stimulated by the Tayhú children, professional in the field of audiovisual and robotics, e Txai, in the area of digital technologies, and by the companion, actress and producer Raquel Durigon, Wieser has entered this new reality, so, when he is prevented from working in person, por força das restrições sanitárias impostas, entering the virtual world was more than a necessity, but a natural consequence of his investigation into audiovisual and stage machinery.
Fruit of these researches and the creative impetus that never ceases, the show emerges “The Last Invention”, that is part of a project that involves, yet, exchange with nine theater groups from nine cities in the state; chat sessions with the audience, at the end of the show, and a guided virtual exhibition. The initiative is carried out with funds from the Aldir Blanc Law no. 14.017/2020.
The first city to receive the project is Canoas. A estreia é nesta Friday, day 12 March, at 8:0 pm, broadcast on the group's YouTube platform (check on “Service”). Exploring theatrical language with stage machinery, Luciano Wieser has been researching Teatro Máquina for 32 years, ahead of Grupo De Pernas pro Ar, one of the most awarded groups in the state, nationally recognized. In this new assembly, set in a living room with inventions, the story of a man with few memories is told, who invents something unusual for his old age, curious dinner machines, that by being animated by him create loving images and improbable everyday situations. Thus, maintains a routine that also brings something more to your life. It is through this character, who no longer remembers the situations lived, that the narrative is built.
Luciano Wieser explains that the dramaturgy was elaborated during the process of research and construction of the machines, from an intimate dialogue between him and the object. – I let myself be carried away by the materials found. There is nothing predetermined; is the material that chooses me. He has memory. He has passed and may have a future, reflects. It is from this man-machine dialogue, that dramaturgy arises, so that is the process that helps to tell the story. – When I start building the show, everything is already underway. In this new format, it is necessary to consider the presence of a mediating look, of the one who captures the dinner. – The camera, when moving within the scene, takes on the viewer's gaze and tries to bring him into the show, analyzes the director.
Understanding how Luciano Wieser's relationship with the universe of machines is processed is essential to understand what moves this creator, that since childhood is fascinated by the movement. – I was one of those children who assembled and disassembled the objects to see what they contained or how they worked., reports. In this sense, visitar a virtual exhibition de A Última Invenção é uma forma de conhecer os processos de construção das máquinas-personagens. On 15 March at 19h, a live-exhibition of the show's stage machines takes place, entitled to a guided tour, led by Wieser. Transmission will be via the group's platform (Check the Service).
An old man with no memory and ten scene machines. He invented something unusual for his old age, curious dinner machines, and exposes your creation, animating each one, creating amorous images and improbable everyday situations. Thus, maintains a routine that also brings something more to your life. It is through this character, who no longer remembers the situations lived, that the narrative is built.
… He himself used to receive his guests, but, over the years, no longer remembers the usefulness of his inventions and prefers to wander around … deixando escapar memórias e vontades adormecidas. Quiçá as memórias evocadas por estas máquinas em vocês, are not the same as those of this inventor, that is no longer recognized.
