I currently reside in Florida, Camagüey, where I work daily in my studio / home workshop.

When he woke up his desire to be an artist?

Since I was little I got involved with an environment linked to the arts, because I saw my father paint as a hobby what was a balm for me and aroused my interest in the fascinating world of brushes and colors. I spent hours scribbling sheets of paper with crayons. My classmates came to my station with sheets of paper so I could make drawings for them, that they kept with a lot of love.

What kind of art do you like best?

I like all art in general, but in particular of impressionism, surrealism and abstractionism.

How did you develop your style (techniques)?

I developed my style by studying the works of universal and Cuban artists that make up the Vanguard Artists Group and the result I got is the style with which I express myself in my works.

Cite if you had artistic influence in your works and which artists?

My creative work is influenced by several artistic currents that developed my style and, on the other hand, visually enriched the techniques that are complicit in modeling one of my works.

I take as reference the works of artists of the size of Pedro Pablo Rubens, Ilian Repin, Cesar Santos, Renso Castañeda and the teacher Lepodoldo Romañach, Roberto Fabelo Pérez and Wilfredo Lam.

Do you have a family member or acquaintance who is an artist?

My family is of amateur artists, my grandfather was a painter, my sculptor great-grandfather and my father is currently a painter. This influenced me greatly, since art is in my blood.

Living from art is possible?

In my very particular discretion, I believe that one can live from art according to the level of appreciation of the viewer and their priorities, whether in relation to the arts or the needs of your life.

Have you ever thought about not acting with the arts? Can you comment why?

At no time did I think to stop acting with art, because she is part of me.

What skills are needed today for the artist?

The main skill of a artist today is having a high degree of creativity that takes you to the rich world of experimentation. At least I see it that way from my point of view.

The experimentation gave me very excellent results, since this process brought majestic visual effects that give my work a greater expressiveness.

What do you feel when you create or appreciate a work of art?

For me the creation of a work is a special moment that I really like. I approach a specific subject that I study and develop and then I start to investigate morphologically how to solve all these ideas in a certain type of work and so say what the hand says as well said the writer Fina Garcia Marruz.

You must always be creating or creating only at certain times?

For me the exercise of creating is an imperative and on the day I don't do it I feel bad.

The product of your work is unique or has a close or distant relationship to your previous work?

Most of my work is related in one way or another through a code that I have already predetermined and that I capture explicitly.

What are the challenges of art / artist in the current scenario?

There are several challenges that artists face globally due to this sinister Covid virus, because we are sensitive and at the moment we lack motivation due to the context in which we live and this causes us a huge void.

Social networks have helped you to spread your work?

Sign up to receive Event News
and the Universe of Arts first!

Social networks have been the fundamental pillar in the dissemination of mycreative work since I participated in major events of great importanceconnotation in the sphere of visual arts as in the case of YouTube, Instagram and Facebook.

How you analyze the qualities of a work of art?

When analyzing a artwork I take into account several factors such as the lines used by the artist, the color ranges, the composition, visual effects and textures.

What are the criteria for stipulating the value of a work of art?

To evaluate a work, you must keep in mind the materials you used at the time of the execution of this work, the time that I as an artist dedicate to the realization of the work, whether with a high degree of detail in the work or not, and the size of the job, work format.

Talk about your projects today.

My biggest project today is to paint for sure to send what I can to enchant an audience and invite them to see my works that represent me as I am.

What's your advice for those just starting out?

I advise all those who start in the world of Visual Arts to dedicate themselves with determination to this profession, that rewards our lives that love it above all.

Could you comment on some artistic curiosity?

Something interesting happened to me in a personal exhibition that I held at the Casa de la Prensa in the city of Ciego de Ávila, this exhibition was entitled Dreams. It turns out that the works that compose it have bold textures that merge with vivid colors. They establish a close work-viewer relationship that I never lose sight of, but the interesting thing about this exhibition is that one of the spectators who watched it, tried to bite it to know what materials formed the textures, what he did doesn't bother me at all because he identified with the job.

How would you define your art on a single line?

Reasons to transcend the boundaries of visual arts.
