– RIO Art Museum

The Museu de Arte do Rio, under the management of the Institute Odeon, promotes the months of January and February programming geared toward the holiday period. The activities begin in 02 January and extend to 26 February with the creation of workshops for different age groups and varied cultural program. During the vacations, remains open scheduling visits in groups and visits mediation for spontaneous public, called Know SEA.
On Saturdays, between 12 January and 23 February, happen Creation Workshops free aimed at children and adolescents of different age groups. The activities, that every week will be aimed at a different audience, invite participants to experience artistic and educational processes proposed by the SEA educators and articulate references and coming issues of museum exhibitions.
"With the regular holding of these workshops on Saturdays, MAR will offer other relation spaces with children and youth, beyond visitation, thought processes from the specificities of the different public. In these workshops the content and issues brought by exhibitions can be deployed and developed further by educators and participants ", Jezebel explains Pucu, Coordinator of the SEA Education.
On Tuesdays – day of free admission the institution – and Saturdays, the activity Meet the sea It offers panoramic view of the museum's spaces in connection with the history of the port area and Little Africa, through a mapped route that links a set of works of the exhibits on display. A visit, intended for all audiences, It begins next to the box office and is completed within the exhibition hall, so that the visitor can choose the shows and spaces that I would revisit. On Sundays, the activity is performed POUNDS - Brazilian Sign Language.
Still within the holiday schedule, d MAR Root! It will lead to the museum stilts various cultural activities, as Ball Charm, children's block, show movie, samba and Performances.
During the month of January, Rio Art Museum will work on special time, das 12h às 20h, Tuesday to Sunday.

- 12/01 – Creation workshop: artist's book
With educators SEA Priscilla Souza and Jandir Jr.
Age group: 10 to 14 years
The library of the SEA has a collection of special books made by artists. Each is unique and has a different way: books without words, Glass books, books with holes. This workshop invites participants to create their own books, through a universe of possibilities, reinventing the way to tell their stories.
- 19/01 – Creation workshop: Little Home
With educators SEA Georges Marques, Maria Rita Valentine and Patricia Chaves
Age group: 03 to 05 years
In this workshop, children of 03 to 05 years are invited to imagine and build a perfect home, from various textures, Color and imagination. Of course, enjoy the evening playing with them.
- 26/01 – Creation workshop: My mirror
With educators SEA Edmilson Gomes, Gisele Paula and Jandir Junior.
Age group: 06 to 09 years
In this workshop, small will be challenged to draw self-portraits, playing with new forms and uses for different materials, exploring colors, smells and textures.
- 02/02 - Creation Workshop: Babies in SEA
With educators SEA Jessica Hipolito, Kemelly Vincent and Cassia de Mattos.
Age group: 0 to 2 years
We invite babies, next to their parents, a sensory immersion in colors, shapes and textures, from trial environments.
- 09/02 - Creation Workshop: Body Diving
With educators SEA Guilherme Dias and Silvana Marcelina
Age group: 3 to 5 years
In this workshop, inspired by the provocation of Hélio Oiticica, We invite children and their parents to a sensorial diving, through colors, textures and shapes, in experimental environments.
- 16/02 - Creation Workshop: Image and Body
With educators SEA Mariana Gon and Wesley Ribeiro
Age group: 6 to 9 years
In this workshop, We invite children to communicate without using words. By gestures and expressions, a performative game, we experience the world around.
- 23/02 - Creation Workshop: Vexilologia
With educators SEA Elian Almeida and Guilherme Carvalho
Age group: 10 to 15 years
Flags are visual symbols representing places, organizations, society and ideas. In this workshop, we will explore some flags present in the exhibition "Art Democracy Utopia – those who do not fight's dead "and, by Vexillology – science who study – We create our own flag.

- 18/01 and 08/02 – Charm Ball with DJ Michell
Friday - 18h to 22h
Entrance: R$ 10 (entire) / R$ 5 (half price)
One of the most important DJs of Black Music in Rio de Janeiro, DJ Michell promotes a traditional Ball Charm in the museum stilts, in the days 18 January and 08 February. On the road since the early 90, Michell is currently part of the line-up of festivals "Prime", "Errejota" and "My Black is so", besides being resident and producer of the largest Ball Charm Brazil, Viaduct of Madureira.
The Art Museum of the river-SEA
An initiative of Prefeitura do Rio in partnership with Fundação Roberto Marinho, the sea has activities that involve collecting, registration, search, preservation and return of cultural property to the community. Proactive support space education and culture, the museum was born with a school - the School Look -, whose proposal is innovative museological: foster the development of an educational program of reference for actions in Brazil and abroad, combining art and education based on the curatorial program that guides the institution. The sea is managed by the Odeon, a social organization of culture, selected by the Rio de Janeiro City Hall for public notice. The museum has the Globo Group as maintainer and Vale as exhibition co-sponsor through the Cultural Incentive Law (Law Rouanet).
The School of the Look is sponsored by City Hall of Rio de Janeiro, Secretaria Municipal de Cultura, Dataprev, TNA, In Press and BNY Mellon through the Municipal Law of Cultural Incentive – Lei do Iss. The SEA also has the support of the State Government of Rio de Janeiro and realization of the Ministry of Culture and the Federal Government of Brazil through the Federal Law on Cultural Incentives.

Entrance: R$ 20 The R $ 10 (half price) - for people up to 21 years, private school students, university, disabled people and public servants of the city of Rio de Janeiro. The sea is part of the Carioca Program Pays Half, offering half price to locals and residents of the city of Rio de Janeiro in all cultural institutions linked to City Hall. Present a document proving (identity, proof of residence, water bills, light, pay phone with, tops, three months of issue) and remove your ticket at the box office. Payment by cash or card (Visa or Mastercard).
Single Ticket: R$ 32 – R$ 16 (half price) for locals and residents in Rio de Janeiro, on presentation of supporting documentation or proof of residence. Supporting documents will be considered those that contain the birthplace, such as RG, driver's license, portfolio of work, Passport etc.. Will be considered proof of residence titles of collection with a maximum 3 (three) months of issue, as water services, light, landline or natural gas, duly accompanied by official document of identification with photo (RG, driver's license, portfolio of work, Passport etc.) of the user.
Policy free: Pay no entry-on presentation of evidentiary documentation – students from public (teaching elementary and middle), children up to 5 years or people from 60, public school teachers, employees of museums, groups in situations of social vulnerability educational visit, Neighbors of the sea and tourist guides. Tuesdays admission is free to the general public.
