In its 11th edition the “Prix Photo Aliança Francesa”, the national photography contest has more than 350 registered portfolios and voting for the Popular Prize will begin. The popular award will receive a distance professional mentoring in partnership with Ateliê Oriente.
According to the contest rules, the portfolios eligible to compete for the Popular Prize will be made available in a Virtual Gallery and open to public voting on the website www.prixphotoaf.com.br, between days 27/06/2022 and 26/07/2022.
Under the theme “Dreams” the 11th Prix Photo Aliança Francesa will award the first place of the official jury with a trip to France with an Air France ticket, schedule of professional meetings in partnership with the Diagonal network, the publication of the portfolio in the French magazine L'Oeil de la Photographie, Besides the exhibition exhibition at the Galeria da Aliança Francesa Botafogo with the top three.

The Prix Photo Alliance Française is open to professional and amateur photographers, and seeks to value original artistic proposals, experimental, are abstract or documentary, and that can offer a different perspective on the current themes proposed by the contest and that represent an echo of the great issues of our time.
The popular jury award is carried out exclusively electronically and will be awarded by internet users who access the site and who, from the gallery, may vote for one or more portfolios (series of photographs) favorites. The author of the most voted portfolio will receive a distance professional mentorship with Ateliê Oriente. Mentoring is planned to take place online, via Zoom, between 5 September 2022 and 17 October 2022, Mondays, from 15:00 to 17:00, with a total workload of 14 hours divided into 7 meetings. The dates can be changed according to the availability of Ateliê Oriente and the winner will be informed of the new dates for participation.. The recipient must be available to participate on the proposed dates. The prize is for use restricted to the recipient., transfer to third parties is not authorized.
In addition to the popular jury award, this edition will also offer two special prizes chosen by the official jury: the prize Lovely House, which consists of a photobook formatting remote residence, in partnership with the publisher and book house from São Paulo Lovely House, and the prize PhotoClimat, which offers the digital distribution of the portfolio at Maison du Climat, within the scope of Bienal PhotoClimat.
The final result of the contest will be revealed between the days 27/07/2022 and 05/08/2022 not official site, when will the three winners of the 1st, 2th and 3rd place and those awarded the prizes Lovely House and PhotoClimat, chosen by the official jury, and the winner of the popular jury award.

After all, the dream left the field of the individual imagination and became a synonym for our desires and plans in the real world, whether personal or collective. For this edition of Prix Photo Alliance Française, the theme "Dreams” proposes an interpretation of the dream in all its senses. At a time when we seek to imagine the post-pandemic future, the dream represents a power of personal and social transformation. Whether through the representation of the dream state we are in during sleep or the expression of concrete desires and desires, the contest is an invitation to make our dreams come true through photography.

The(The ) photographer(the) selected(the) in the category of honorable mention / Prix “Lovely House” will receive as a prize a photobook formatting residency taught by the editors of Lovely House, Luciana Molisani and José Fujocka. Will be 4 meetings with 1 hour and 30 minutes long. During the residency the editors will develop, in dialogue with the author, the entire process of editing and formatting a photobook, from the selection of images to the assembly of the puppet (prototype) final. The residency will be done remotely and the date will be agreed between the(the) photographer(the) selected(the) e a Lovely House, in until 1 (one) year after the award date. The prize is for use restricted to the recipient., transfer to third parties is not authorized.
The(The ) photographer(the) selected(the) in the honorable mention category / “PhotoClimat” Prix will receive as a prize the virtual dissemination of its portfolio in partnership with Maison du Climat, in Paris, e a Bienal PhotoClimat.
The jury will be part of Erika Negrel, general secretary of Réseau Diagonal, network that brings together exhibition locations, photographic practice and production in France; the photographer and collector of contemporary photography Joaquim Paiva; to photographer Marcela Bonfim; Nicolas Henry, French photographer and organizer of the PhotoClimat biennial; Paulo Marcos, photographer and director of Ateliê Oriente; the curator and editor-in-chief of ZUM magazine, Thyago Nogueira; and the French gallery Valerie Cazin.

In Brazil, the French Alliance has been present since 1885 and is the only French language teaching course recognized by the French Ministry of National Education. Its first center was founded in Rio de Janeiro, just two years after the creation of the headquarters, in Paris.
