deaf photographers expose their views and feelings at the National Museum in pioneering project in DF

The exhibition is generally coordinated by Nísia Sacco, curated by photographer Olivier Boëls, and support team engaged in promoting an unprecedented experience to Brazilians. The project has funding from the DO, Culture support fund, of the DF Secretariat of Culture. Voices of the Soul, a project that seeks understanding and empathy, for a true step of inclusion, has open and free visitation to the public until 2 of June.

Offer the public the opportunity to understand the experience and universe of deaf people, From photographs and life testimonials, It is the biggest commitment of this project that, in its unfolding, will promote exchange space, with visits guided by the six photographers, Show participants, and interpreters in Libras. 60 Photos with subtitles will show the visitor the look and understanding that these photographers have of the world, and the life experiences that they considered relevant share. Celyse Sasse, Elise Milani, Flavia Pompey, Jacson Valley, Johnnathy Albert and Nubia Laismann was “Voices of Alma”.

In the process of building the show, more than 60 meetings over a year and a half with photographer Olivier Boëls, Producer and also educator Nisia Sacco and interpreters Thalita Araújo and Lenilson Costa. Participants also had meetings with professional photographers João Paulo Barbosa, Isabela Lyrio, Arthur Monteiro and Cristiano Carvalho, and with the master in linguistics from UnB, Isabella Gurgel.
