The CCBB Educational Program – Art & Education develops actions that encourage the experience, creating, research and reflection through pedagogical processes, artistic and curatorial. Every month offers educational visits, courses, workshops, cultural encounters and practices. The activities dialogue with the CCBB's programming and are aimed at all audiences, with inclusive and affirmative actions to strengthen relations with the school community, educators, disabled people, families, non-governmental organizations, social movements, professionals from the fields of art, culture and interested. At this time, in which special visit and stay protocols are necessary for the safety of all of us against COVID 19, face-to-face activities have a reduced number of participants and rules for scheduling and participating in accordance with local government guidelines. On the other hand, digital programming brings a new scope, enabling access by audiences from all over the national territory.

The CCBB Educativo do Rio offers mediated visits in person and mediated in Libras!

In face-to-face mediated visits educators join the audience for dialogue, exchange ideas, share impressions about the works, producing new meanings from the narratives present in the exhibitions on display. At CCBB Rio they take place on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, at 12 noon and 4 pm. Thursdays and Saturdays at 12pm. Heritage visits (building and permanent exhibitions): Wednesdays at 12pm and Sundays at 4pm.

On mediated visits to the exhibition "Nise da Silveira – The Revolution for Affection”, this month's guiding theme is “How artistic expression can be a path to self-healing?”

The show occupies three rooms at the Banco do Brasil Cultural Center Rio de Janeiro and is on display until day 16 August. About of 90 works by clients of the Museum of Images of the Unconscious, beside pieces of Lygia Clark and Joe Carlos Garcia, photographs of Alice Brill, Rogério Reis and Rafael bqueer, videos of Leon Hirzsman and Tiago Sant’Ana and watercolors and photos of Carlos Vergara are available to the public. The curatorship is from M’Baraká Studio, with psychiatrist consulting Victor for God and the museologist Euripides Junior.

This year are completed 22 years since Nise da Silveira's death – and 22 is a number associated with madness in the popular imagination, theme approached in a revolutionary way by the psychiatrist Nise da Silveira (1905-1999). Physician trained as the only woman in a class with more than 150 men, became known worldwide for the avant-garde idea of ​​using affection as a scientific methodology in the treatment of people with mental suffering.

On 22 August, folklore is celebrated all over the world. on this special date, let's celebrate Brazilian folklore in an open conversation where participants, mid by the educators of the program, will be able to share stories, dances, songs and games that are part of their repertoire of popular knowledge. This activity is part of the Heritage and Memory project of the CCBB Educativo Art Program & Education, that among other actions, celebrates some of the commemorative dates that mark the Brazilian calendar, as an opportunity to review narratives and strengthen our links with Brazilian culture.

ONLINE VISITS TO SCHOOLS AND INSTITUTIONS

Cultural mediation activities for schools and other institutions in groups of 10 to 45 people, from Monday to Friday, at hours in the morning, afternoon and night, from a prior appointment by interested groups. The mediated visits made by the educators are always guided by the conversation around relevant themes of the present, as artistic productions that help us understand it and cultural heritage as a way of building our identity, taking into account the plurality of our audiences. In virtual mode, the visits take place maintaining this vocation and maintaining the intensity and power of the conversations, even from a distance. From activations, questions and a listening always attentive to the experiences of the public, educators prepared visits with different themes.

The activities involve contact with the content of the exhibitions in conversations and exercises of reflection and invention, prepared and accessible for people of all ages.

On-line visits to the exhibition: Nise da Silveira: Revolution for Affection, the public will get to know a little about the trajectory of this great psychiatrist and the humanist and affectionate beliefs and ideals that led to the creation of the painting studio in the occupational therapy sector of the Engenho de Dentro Psychiatric Hospital, and that brought to light a new way of reading the expression and communication of patients.

In this axis, the visits will investigate the artistic processes of some clients of the painting studio at the Engenho de Dentro Psychiatric Hospital. How artistic expression can have beneficial effects and be a path to self-healing? in this meeting, Rafael RG invites the public interested in different forms of writing as artistic expression. Broken Fugue / Routes of Creation is an encounter that explores the different strategies that have already been designed and used by racialized people. The objective is to understand how such escape routes reverberate in the social fabric of cities today, being able to become triggers of artistic processes. No musical universe, “leak” means a specific form of composition that uses a certain number of voices that consecutively interpret the same theme. a musical theme, repeated by other voices that enter successively and continue intertwined.

The Critic and Reflection Laboratory addresses art, the sphere of cultural journalism, memory and heritage, in dialogue with CCBB programming. Especially seeks a dialogue with art students, Journalism, museology, curation and history.

Rafael RG (1986) Lives and works between Salvador, Belo Horizonte and Guarulhos. He has a degree in Visual Arts from Belas Artes de São Paulo. (PROUNI Scholarship – 2010). Participated in shows and festivals in cities in Brazil and other countries. Received, among other awards, the 1st ArtRio Focus Award, the Honor Award for Merit, Art and Heritage / IPHAN, the Acquisition Award of the São Paulo Cultural Center, Iberê Camargo Scholarship for residency at Künstlerhaus Bremen (Germany), Pampulha Scholarship for residency at the Pampulha Museum of Art (MG), among his recent residencies are Gasworks in London (2018) Black Rock Senegal em Dakar (2019), Triangle France – Astérides I Marseile (2020). In your artistic practice, RG usually brings two sources for the construction of his works: one documentary and one affective, usually through the use of documents mined in institutional or personal files associated with narratives that may involve your person or an alter ego.

Literature professor Flávio de Castro proposes a comparative reading of works by three writers: Brazilian Joao Antonio, the Portuguese Luiz Pacheco e o Angolan Luandino Vieira. São Paulo, Lisbon and Luanda: Portuguese language territories. How is the representation of popular classes and urban space in the work of three authors (marginal) of Lusophony.

Flavio de Castro is from São Paulo living in Belo Horizonte. Graduated and specialized in Portuguese Literature at IEL – UNICAMP, has been a literature teacher since 1997. Author “Disappeared” (poetry – 2016), “the last nightclub of the morning” (poetry – 2018) and “Iron ore” (Tales – 2021) all by Editora Urutau. He was a columnist for the newspaper O Beltrano and eventually published reports in Forum Magazine. He makes urban poetic interventions since 2010 under the pseudonym Sete Capetas.

The Viola Ringtones – small instrumental songs – are created from the guitar player's observation of the phenomena of nature. So we have the flight of parrots, the song of the inhuma, the frog and the deer race, the movement of the lizard. And the respective stories of each of these touches. Paulo Freire learned these dots from master Manelim, in the hinterland of Urucuia/MG, when did you live in this region?, in 1977, looking for the songs of “Grande Sertão” by Guimarães Rosa. He learned from his Manoel that every guitar player has his own touch, and developed his own stitches from his experience in the Uruguayan countryside.

Paulo Freire is a guitar player, writer and storyteller. He is the author of soundtracks, songs, novels, Biographies, storybooks, children's books and viola CDs. It has been receiving several awards for its activities related to Brazilian culture. CCBB-Rio is open to the public from 9 am to 7 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays and from 9am to 8pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, (closes tuesday). Public entry is only allowed with online booking (eventim.com.br), which makes it possible to keep strict control of the number of people in the building. It also has a single circulation flow, temperature measurement, mandatory mask use, availability of alcohol gels and floor flags for distance. In theaters and cinemas the capacity is reduced to 40%.
