Mixed state, Exhibition by photographer Andréa Bernardelli, will be inaugurated at the Ateliê Gallery on the day 7 April, at 19h, Result of a partnership with Ateliê Fotô de SP. Curated by Eder Chiodetto. Visitation to day 10 June 2017.

The series is composed of 57 round photographs and a rectangular with a cut circle, that the artist called hollow as a kind of potential being - all , with the intention of tangenting the very idea of ​​focus and margin and appearance and disappearance in the world of visible, the oust images of Andréa Bernardelli.

Nietzsche formulated the concept of eternal return as a challenge for thought: and if we had to “live again and countless times”? A concept to think about the power of the present, the cycles. As a transit of gestures that orbit existences.

The artist investigates how life is organized from the intertwining between the visible and the invisible. Using the metaphor of an atom, Andrea works with the production of round photographs – a completely atypical format for the rectangular world of Western images.

The title of the work is born from the metaphor of this state of the visible that we inhabit - and that is, also, the life of the images - is a Mixed state between appearing and disappearing. “The visible encompasses the presence and absence and instigates us to the perception. And it is the image who retaliates our gaze ”, Says the photographer.

Andréa Bernardelli participated in several courses at the International Center of Photography of New York, MAN-SP, Madalena Studio and, currently, Integrates the study and creation group in photography at Ateliê Fotô with Eder Chiodetto and Fabiana Bruno. On your journey uses photography as an instrument of transience investigation, of existential perplexity, of the intervals of meaning.
