National author adapts classic tales for a new generation

Released in 2019 by Grupo Editorial Coerência, the book brings together 20 great narratives that marked the author's experience as a reader

Marcia kupstas began his career in the national publishing market in 1986 with “Growing up is dangerous”, your debut book, who won the Mercedes-Benz Revelation Youth Literature Award. After 30 year career, with more than 150 titles and 3 million copies sold, the author published “Vinte review – classic tales adapted for a new generation ”in 2019 by Editorial Group Coherence, an anthology that brings together narratives that marked her experience as a reader.

The book features narratives written by Victor Hugo, Tolstoy, Monteiro Lobato, Edgar Allan Poe and Voltaire, besides fables and legends, remarkable readings in the reader's trajectory Marcia kupstas, who reworked the stories, adapting them to a contemporary style.

Each story has its own uniqueness, but in an interview Marcia kupstas informed: “A recurring element is the involvement of family conflicts, parent or sibling relationships; the desire for family affection and even the dispute for it ”. It reinforces that in the tales of Dickens, Voltaire, Victor Hugo and in the Arab legend this is very present.

Marcia kupstas, brazilian writer, has over one hundred and sixty published titles. Graduated in Portuguese Language and Literature, accumulate some prizes in your luggage, among them the Mercedes-Benz Revelation Award for 1988, he won with his debut book, “Growing Up Is Dangerous”. In addition to your publications, among them “Kiss Club”, “You Must Fight”, “The Curse of Silence”, “The Camões Girlfriend” and “Boy Adventures”, coordinated the collections “Sete Faces” and “Three for Three”.
