Vilma Noel was born in Diamantina, Minas Gerais, Brazil but spent his childhood and part of adolescence in Dionysus and São Domingos do Prata where he attended high school. Did the Magisterium in Conselheiro Mata. As specialized teacher, helped found the children's art school "the little Prince" in Goiânia-GO.

Attended school Guignard in Belo Horizonte and graduated in Bachelor's degree at the National School of fine arts of Rio de Janeiro. Did art courses in Münster in Germany, Beaux-Arts in Paris – France and Art Students League in New York – USA.

Has a resume long on formation of sculpture, painting, engraving and jewelry design and has participated in several congresses and workshops of sculpture , watercolors and oil painting.

Solo Exhibitions:

In Brazil, the main were in cities: Brasília-DF; São Paulo-SP; Resende, Rio de Janeiro-RJ; Belo Horizonte, Timóteo, Acesita, Ipatinga and Muriaé-MG.

Abroad: Berlin, Unna and Münster, in Germany. Paris, Cannes and Nice in France. Ndola in Zambia. Johannesburg in South Africa. Hasselt and Brussels in Belgium. Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Florence in Italy. New York, Chicago and Los Angeles in the United States.

Despite having done many exhibitions of oil paintings, watercolors and engravings, Vilma Noel was internationally recognized for his bronze sculptures, stainless steel and granite.

She stood out for making large works in public places, parks and squares.

The sculpture "mother Africa" made to Zambia became national symbol and the seal of the country.

In Brazil his works are spread over several States.

Among them the main ones are: "India Araris" in Registry – RJ. "Mermaid on the island of Jipóia" in Angra dos Reis-RJ. "Fate" in Morro Redondo in Itabira-MG. Image of St. Sebastian in Dionysus-MG. "Synergy" in Timóteo-MG. "Mother Earth", "Children of the world" and "the five elements of nature" in Coronel Fabriciano-MG. "French Frigate Thémis Goddess" (symbol of Justice), "Millenium", "Pyramid of progress" and busts in Ipatinga-MG. Image of St. Alphonsus (neighborhood Eucharistic heart), Our Lady Queen (Church in the Belvedere district) and the statue of Juscelino Kubitschek (Av. Bandeirantes, Eco Square JK) in Belo Horizonte-MG.

Currently working on a sculptural design of the writer Machado de Assis in Rio de Janeiro and also with the bust of Brazilian diplomat Sergio Vieira de Mello to the UN in New York.

The importance of his work, Vilma received African and American citizenship, In addition to several prizes in Brazil and abroad. Is vital member (lifetime) The Art Students League (USA).

With many years of work, enthusiasm, power of creation, strength and persistence, She's still making a difference, always taking part in artistic activities, benefit and ecological. She maintains her Studio in New York, Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais.
