The eleven selected candidates in Rio de Janeiro perform at a live event, day 28 October, at 19h, broadcast directly from the auditorium of the Alliance Française Tijuca, adapted to health security measures.
The first place of this regional stage competes for the place in the final, in November and the big winner will be awarded a trip to Paris with Air France tickets
The 13th edition of the Aliança Francesa Song Festival 2020, national music contest sponsored by Aliança Francesa, in partnership with Air France and the Club Med reaches the semifinal round with the selection of 11 (our) candidates, who will compete for a place in the grand final in November. Candidates selected in this regional stage will have the opportunity to perform live, before a jury composed of professionals from the musical environment or those linked to the artistic environment, members of Aliança Francesa, supporters and representatives of French entities in Brazil.
The presentations take place on 28 October, at 19h, in the auditorium of the Alliance Française Tijuca, with live broadcast, via Facebook (@aliancafrancesarj) e YouTube (@aliancafrancesarj) of the French Alliance Rio de Janeiro. Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic and safety recommendations from health authorities, the Aliança Tijuca auditorium was adapted within the health protocols, to ensure the presence and safety of the singers, musicians, technicians and judges participating in the semifinal. There will be no public presence during the presentations.

Bia warriors) ; De Luna Moraes – "I am sick" (Serge Lama |) ; Duda Motta – "In my island" (Henri Salvador) ; Carolina Bassi – "The first good time of the day" (Frank Gerald, Jean Renard).
The following criteria will be assessed: tuning, interpretation, pace, scenic posture, French language originality and pronunciation. Artistic direction is by Renato Assis. Beyond the River, semifinals take place in the following cities: Aracaju, Brasilia, Belo Horizonte, Curitiba, São Paulo, Porto Alegre and Rio de Janeiro.
The regional stage awards in Rio de Janeiro are:
1th place: participation in the National Final and a lunch or dinner for two in a restaurant chosen by the Festival organization, no maximum value 500 (five hundred) reais.
2th place: a dinner or lunch for two at a restaurant chosen by the organization of the Festival's regional stage, no maximum value 300 (three hundred) reais.
3th place: gift card in a Festival partner bookstore worth 200 (two hundred) reais.
The 7 (Seven) candidates classified in the 2nd Stage, winners of each regional stage will participate in the National Final in November 2020, which also happens online and the big winner of the night will be awarded a trip to Paris with Air France tickets. The runner-up will receive a weekend at a festival partner club in the country. 3rd place wins a dinner for two in a restaurant chosen by the Festival organization, in the city of contemplated, the maximum amount of R $ 500,00 (five hundred reais).
