Engaged in the power of reading transformation, digital platform for books Virtual Bookshelf was invited to participate as a volunteer for an action to take place during the READ - Carioca Book Fair, aiming to collect books that will be donated to the State Library System of Rio de Janeiro. The event, What happens between 17 and 20 de Mayo, It is to promote the reopening of the Park Library (closed two years ago), in downtown Rio, which will be held RSI.

According to the superintendent of Reading and knowledge of the State Secretariat for Culture of Rio de Janeiro, Juca Ribeiro, The collected books will be directed specifically to three libraries: Quilombo Library Project Tapera (Petrópolis/RJ), Solidarity Library of Manguinhos (Rio de Janeiro/RJ) and Municipal Public Library Dr. Mauricio de Lacerda (Brushes / RJ).
