Wilson Piran volta to expor not MNBA, 41 years later

Having performed a solo in 1977, in the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, now, o artista Wilson Piran retorna, to open, on 30 de Mayo, the exhibition "Not everything that glitters is gold". Will be presented 26 objects and sculptures, of different materials, all covered with fake gold.

Pop artist with bias and using less conventional materials, previously the names of artists and their works that inspired to produce works that questioned art and his universe, are now the objects and materials that are exploited by the artist to ask: "What is art, where the art is?"And finding poetry and expression in this curious mining.

Born in Nova Friburgo (RJ), from 1969 Piran is transferred to Rio de Janeiro and entered the old National School of Fine Arts, where he attended the painting course, having been a student of Abelard Zaluar, Mario Barata and Quirino Campofiorito.
